A new step toward global cooperation: Ukrainian blueberry producers unite with the Chamber of Commerce to strengthen export potential, quality standards, and international credibility.

The Ukrainian Blueberry Growers Association has officially joined the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI), marking a significant milestone in the country’s push toward global integration of its berry industry.

The UCCI operates 70 representative offices across 56 countries and maintains 174 international cooperation agreements, serving as a key driver of bilateral business initiatives. The Blueberry Association, meanwhile, brings a strong network of buyers and marketing expertise, connecting producers with domestic and international markets.

Currently, the Association unites 30 of Ukraine’s leading growers, representing a total of 1,200 hectares of plantations. Their mission: to deliver consistent quality, from cultivation to international distribution.

This partnership offers practical benefits:

  • Access to legal and consulting support

  • ATA Carnet issuance

  • Certification of goods, services, and force majeure

  • Export support and market guidance

“We joined the Chamber to formally declare the responsible business practices of Ukrainian blueberry growers,” said Nataliya Pukshyn, President of the Association.
“Together with the Chamber, we’ll access services critical for the berry sector — from legal assistance to certification,” added Ivan Hrechkivskyi, Executive Director.

According to EastFruit, blueberries have become Ukraine’s fastest-growing fruit export category, with average annual revenue growth of 22–28%. Between 2019 and 2023, fresh blueberry exports increased by an average of 21% per year — including +1,100 tonnes in 2022 and +940 tonnes in 2023 — despite war and economic instability.

Ukraine’s fertile soils, favorable climate, and improving production technology have helped the country establish itself on the global stage. By 2030, Ukraine may emerge as a serious competitor to Poland in the European blueberry export market.

“Just a few years ago, the Ukrainian market relied heavily on imported blueberries. Today, we are proud to see local producers exporting globally. The Chamber is pleased to welcome the Association into our network,” said Mykola Zasulskyi, President of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
